Manchester United, Arsenal keen on signing Rangers right-back James Tavernier

Manchester United and Arsenal have emerged as rumoured suitors for Rangers captain James Tavernier.

The 29-year-old defender joined the Scottish outfit from Wigan Athletic in 2015 and has since gone on to make 289 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 65 goals and providing 90 assists in the process.

The Red Devils are thought to be keen to sign a new right-back to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while the Gunners could need to replace Hector Bellerin, who is heavily linked with a move away.

According to 90min, United interested in signing Tavernier, while the Gunners are also admirers of a right-back who scored 19 times and provided 16 assists in 46 appearances for the Scottish champions last term.

Tavernier still has three years left on his contract with Rangers.
