Liverpool are weighing up a summer move for AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Calciomercato.
While the Reds are already well stocked for options in the final third for next season, with Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho expected to follow Luis Diaz in joining the Merseyside giants for 2022-23.
However, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino – all have just less than 18 months left on their contracts.
Therefore, Jurgen Klopp’s side may move for Zaniolo if they part ways with one of their strikers at the end of the campaign.
Zaniolo, 22, has made 19 starts in the Italian top flight this season, scoring just two goals and providing one assist.
Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also credited with an interest in the Italy international, who possesses a contract until 2024.
