West Ham United still keen on signing Jesse Lingard

West Ham United are lining up a swoop for Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old midfielder was strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford in January but was ultimately not allowed to leave the club amid interest from West Ham United and Newcastle United.

He possesses a contract until the end of June, though, and the England international is set to leave the Red Devils on a free transfer.

According to Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge, the Hammers are still keen to sign the Englishman at the end of the campaign.

Lingard has scored nine goals and registered five assists in 16 appearances in all competitions on loan at West Ham in the second half of last season.
