Arsenal want Aston Villa’s Carney Chukwuemeka
Arsenal are lining up a swoop for Aston Villa starlet Carney Chukwuemeka, according to the Evening Standard.
The 18-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a breakthrough into the first team this term, having made 12 appearances in all competitions and contributed one assist in the English top flight.
The teenager is due to become a free agent in June 2023, though, and reports last year suggested that the starlet was not prepared to sign a new contract at Villa Park.
The Gunners have now identified Chukwuemeka as a potential target, with manager Mikel Arteta likely to strengthen his midfield ranks for the upcoming season.
Chukwuemeka has contributed two goals and two assists from six Premier League 2 appearances this term.
