Barcelona join race to sign Raphinha

Barcelona have reportedly entered pole position in the race to complete a deal for Leeds United midfielder Raphinha, according to a report.

The Brazil international has made 27 Premier League appearances this season, contributing nine goals in the process.

He has two years left on his contract at Elland Road, but the winger has been linked with a move away from the Whites due to his performances.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan giants are now interested in signing the Brazilian, and the player’s agent has even begun communicating with Barca about a potential transfer.

There have been no discussions between the two clubs though, as any fee for the South American will depend upon the status of Leeds United whether or not they remain in the English top flight.

The Blaugrana are also not the only club keen on signing Raphinha, as both Chelsea and Liverpool have linked with the winger.
