Arsenal plot summer move for Gabriel Jesus

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.

The Gunners are preparing an opening bid for the Brazil international, according to Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The north London outfit looked set to be linked with a number of strikers in the upcoming transfer window as head coach Mikel Arteta looks to fill the void left by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the 32-year-old moved to Barcelona in January.

Arsenal have been linked with Gabriel Jesus over the past few months before the Brazilian’s recent upturn in form for the Citizens after a return of six goals in his last five appearances.

The English champions appear open to Jesus’s sale this summer seeing as City announced a deal to sign Erling Haaland last week.

Italian journalist Romano has now revealed that Arsenal are preparing their opening offer for Jesus ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

The South American has contributed eight goals and eight assists in 27 Premier League games this season.
