Liverpool eyeing summer move for Moussa Diaby

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Moussa Diaby.

The 23-year-old forward was a highly sought after player by several Premier League clubs, but no agreement could be reached with the German outfit.

Aside from Newcastle United, Manchester United are rumoured to be interested, and now the Merseyside giants have joined the race for the Frenchman.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recognises the need for additional attacking options during the summer transfer window and outlined their intentions to move for Diaby.

The Reds’ season have been impacted by various factors, including the departure of Sadio Mane, for which they did not bring in a suitable replacement. Furthermore, Luis Diaz sustained a long-term injury and is expected to be out until March, which could prompt the German boss to consider a new signing in the upcoming transfer window.

Diaby is contracted to Bayer Leverkusen until the summer of 2025.
