Tottenham Hotspur keen on Evan Ndicka

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Evan Ndicka in a Bosman move ahead of next season, according to 90min.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is said to be in the market for a new defender ahead of the upcoming season and is keen on having Ndicka join the club.

The 23-year-old fits the bill perfectly, as he possesses excellent aerial ability and can also play as a left-back, providing added versatility to the team. His arrival would undoubtedly strengthen Tottenham’s defence, and the fact that he would be available as a free transfer would make him a bargain signing.

Ndicka’s current contract with Frankfurt will expire in the summer, and talks of a possible extension have yet to commence. He is seeking to join a larger club, and given his sustained high-level performances, numerous clubs are vying for his services.

The centre-back has established himself as a regular player at the club in recent seasons. He has scored a total of 170 appearances for the German outfit and has contributed to 20 goals during his tenure.

However, Spurs will face fierce competition from other clubs vying for Ndicka’s signature. Barcelona have been interested in the defender’s services for some time and are expected to make a push for him during the summer transfer window.
