West Ham United interested in Joao Palhinha

Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha has expressed his readiness to depart from Craven Cottage, with West Ham United emerging as the top choice for his potential next destination.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined Fulham for a transfer fee of £20 million, he has garnered attention with his impressive performances. The attacker is viewed as an ideal addition to David Moyes’ squad, particularly as they have recently triumphed in the European Conference League and secured qualification for the Europa League in the upcoming season.

Palhinha has emerged as a potential target for the Hammers as they seek a long-term midfield replacement for Declan Rice, who is rumoured to be transferring to either Arsenal or Bayern Munich this summer.

Palhinha, who has a contract that runs until 2027, has been in remarkable form for Fulham and could be attainable for a fee of around £40 million.

While there is interest from other teams, it is West Ham’s recent European achievements that are likely to entice the Portugal international to choose them as his next destination.
