Man United lining up move for Marcus Thuram

Manchester United have reportedly made an approach to sign Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a stellar 2022-23 season for the German club, contributing 10 goals and three assists in 15 top flight appearances, while the attacker has also scored three goals and registered one assist in two DFB-Pokal outings.

His contract with Gladbach is due to expire at the end of the season, though, and it appears that he will not be signing an extension with the Bundesliga outfit.

According to Rudy Galetti, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Juventus are interested in the Frenchman, with Gladbach prepared to sell him for the right price at the beginning of 2023.

However, the report adds that the Red Devils are also in the race for the winger, who could be available for €10 million in January.

Thuram spent two years with Les Guingampais before arriving at Gladbach, and he has now represented Gladbach on 119 occasions, scoring 41 goals and contributing 26 assists.
